These celestial wonders grace the skies from late August to April, painting the nights with spectacular auroras.

Quebec is Canada’s only province with most French speakers, recognizing anglophones as an official minority. Despite French being the official language, English is widely spoken, allowing you to communicate and receive services in both languages.

Locals indulge in ponche, a mulled brandy and fruit concoction, break piñatas, and savour Rosca de Reyes, a delectable sweet bread.

The official languages inside San Miguel de Allende are Spanish and various Mayan, Nahuatl, and other regional languages. With so many foreigners around town, you could be forgiven for thinking there’s no point in learning Spanish in San Miguel.

Both credit cards and Pesos (cash) are commonly accepted. While some hotels, restaurants, and stores in San Miguel may get US dollars, the provided exchange rate could be more favourable. Hence, having Mexican currency is advisable.
