My introduction to Tea Villa Cafè unfolded during a brief work trip to Chennai. The scorching heat of March in Chennai made me crave the perfect place with delectable food and a comforting ambience. My search for the ideal spot led me to Tea Villa Cafè in T. Nagar, which seemed to be the nearest option. Since my husband and son were with me, I didn’t want to go too far, so I decided to try it.
The cafe’s ambience and the minor detailing in cutlery truly transformed it into something fabulous. Their menu had an array of options, with 300+ varieties of food and more than 100+ tea choices. After an utterly mouth-watering lunch and refreshing drink, I was stuck with the flavours forever.
I recommend my personal favourite Schezwan sliders with the classic dip.

ToggleThe Tea Story
Tea Villa Cafè is a rising star among cafes, offering an incredible array of the finest and most diverse teas. The first outlet sprouted up in Vile Parle, Mumbai, in 2014. They started with a staggering selection of 50 different tea types, including the world’s third-most expensive tea.
Tea Villa Cafè, led by its founder Roopanshi Bhat and director Micky Panjwani, played a pivotal role in reestablishing tea’s significance. In India, Tea Villa Cafè effectively filled a gap and became a retreat for tea enthusiasts.

When the cafe opened in Vile Parle East, it stood alone alongside the Wagh Bakri Tea Lounge as a place dedicated to tea variety. Although people were already familiar with green tea, there was a genuine interest in trying different varieties.
Why does it stand out?
In Pune, I went to the Tea Villa Cafè Wakad outlet. It was completely different from what I saw in Chennai. Usually, the outlets always have the same ambience with slight changes. Their outlets are designed to match the theme of the place, so each one is a pleasant surprise.
They offer many flavours, from familiar Masala Chai to refreshing Peach Ice Tea. The choices include some handpicked flavours like bubble, herbal, white, rooibos, Earl Grey, Irani Chai, Kashmiri Zaffran, and Oolong. It might seem unfamiliar initially, but the menu is thoughtfully curated with detailed descriptions.

The cafe ensures the flavours are consistently monitored by their senior chefs to maintain quality, and the well-trained staff excels in upholding quality.
